The SECOND step on the Four-phase path of mastery is “Awareness of Ignorance.” So when our lama {or teacher} mentions the “wisdom of letting go” we might say, “yeah, Letting-go sounds good… but I don’t know how. Would you please teach me?”
Folks, we might all start out with “Ignorance of Ignorance” but we must get to “Awareness of Ignorance” we must get to the place where we are aware of our ignorance, and where we are so alarmed by this ignorance, that we are earnest to do something about it.
So earnest, in fact, that our desire for growth exceeds our desire for convenience and becomes more important than nurturing our pride.
Tomorrow we’ll explore the third phase upon the Four-fold path of Mastery.
