From Dilgo Khyentse's "The Heart Treasure of the Enlightened Ones,"
lets read from the Introduction on pg. 6-7 and
let's also read from the root text on page 179.
In this selection we can read Dilgo Khyentse's explanation:
"...{this} Discourse Virtuous in the Beginning, Middle and End is
formulated in a way that is particularly easy to understand and practice; nevertheless it contains the quintessence of the teachings of both ...
{the} {Theravada} and Mahayana in their entirety...
the second {section deals} with the view, meditation and action of
the Sutrayana and Mantryana."

From the Dalai Lama's "The Path to Enlightenment,"
lets read page 32-33 and
let's also read from the devotional text on page 190.
In today's selection we can read Milarepa's words:
"Fearing death
I took to the Mountains.
Now I have realized the ultimate nature of the mind and
NO longer need to fear."
