Sunday's recommended Reading

.
From Dilgo Khyentse's
"
The Heart Treasure of the Enlightened Ones,"
lets read from the Commentary on pg. 22-23 and
let's also read from the root text on page 193.

In today's selection from Dilgo Khyentse's commentary we can read:

"We should pray that our teacher
will clearly show us our mistakes and defects.

When he does so,
we must gratefully accept his critcism
and use it to rid ourselves of
our faults."

From the Dalai Lama's
"
The Path to Enlightenment,"
lets read page 46-47 and
let's also read from the devotional text on page 197.

In today's selection the Dalai Lama explaines:

"A study of the Lam Rim provides
the practitioner with four great benefits:

[#1] the various doctrines of Buddha
will be seen as NON-contradictory;
[#2] the various teachings
will be taken as personal advice;

[#3] the thought of Buddha
will easily be found; and

[#4] one will be held back from
the great mistake of
abandoning any aspect of
the holy Dhar-ma."
