Quick Manifestation

One of my students, who has already received the seven teachings of the Beginning series, wrote me asking for some contemplations that could help him to manifest even more abundance while simultaneously helping him to advance upon Buddha’s paths of love, concentration, joy and insight.

Dear Mr. O,

Just as many high school sprinters often take more than one lap around the quarter mile track, likewise when performing the following set of practices, you could monitor your progress in terms of how many times you practice all the exercises of this set, per session. When you are merely mildly concerned you may wish to practice this set of prayers and contemplations once in the morning, once at noon and once in the evening. However, on the days you feel more financial pressure you may wish to practice the entire set of prayers and contemplations for three run-throughs or laps. And when you feel down right frightened about your finances you may wish to perform 3, 6, or even 9 run-throughs per session.

Mr. O, please begin each manifestation set with three repetitions of the “Prayer of Refuge and Bodhichitta” found on page 3 of the “Quick Path to Happy Peace” prayer book and guided meditation resource.

Then recite this wealth prayer three times.

Oh Lama Chen-re-zig, for the benefit of all, may my family and I now and evermore
receive even greater financial abundance in the most wonderful way;
quite powerfully, completely, quickly, comfortably and happily,
that all beings may benefit. Om Mani Padme Hum!

Mr. O, using the techniques that you were taught, during the third lesson of the Beginning series, please use your desire for greater financial abundance to actually fuel your journey upon Buddha’s path of love by combining the following two contemplative questions with conversational mantra recitation.

#1. “What are some of the reasons “I” could desire for every living being to now be lavished with even greater Financial Abundance in the Most wonderful way?”

#2 “If “I” now and evermore experienced even greater love for every living being; what could that Feel like?”

To deeply process or “grock” your advancement upon Buddha’s path of love, please now perform three soothing rounds of the “Essential Meditation” that you were taught in lesson two.

Mr. O, I’d now like you to use your earnest desire for even greater abundance to enhance your journey upon Buddha’s paths of concentration and joy by combining the following two contemplative questions with intoned mantra recitation.

#3 “What are some of the things in “my” life that could make “me” feel quite Financially Abundant?”

#4 “If ‘I’ now and evermore experienced even greater Financial Abundance; what could that Feel like?”

And again, please deeply process the advancement you just made on the paths of concentration and joy by performing three rounds of the “Essential Meditation.”

Mr. O, please now use your financial ambitions to progress even further upon Buddha’s path of Insight by combining the following contemplative questions with whispered mantra recitation.

#5 “What are some of the reasons “I” could now and evermore let go of these sensations?”

#6 “If ‘I’ now and evermore let go of these sensations, even more; what could that Feel like?”

Yet again, deeply process your advancement upon Buddha’s path of insight by performing another three rounds of the “Essential Meditation.”

To conclude your first set of manifestation exercises first perform three repetitions of “Bodhichitta’s Essence” which is found on page 11 of the “Quick Path to Happy Peace” sadhana; and then perform an additional three repetitions of the wealth prayer.

So Mr. O, this concludes your first repetition of this set of manifestation practices. Whether you practice 9, 6, 3 or just 1 repetition of this set per session, please schedule three daily sessions for the next two weeks. In three weeks I look forward to our commencement of the Intermediate series of telephone teachings.

Remember we have a choice. Rather than repress our financial fear or indulge our greed we can choose to harness the energy of our financial concerns to progress even further upon Buddha’s path of love, concentration, joy and insight.
