There is a big fat lie that “Everything is perfect” it’s NOT!
Every year men beat women to death,
every year mother’s kill their own children,
every day the air, the earth and the sea are poisoned,
and every day countless animals suffer needlessly in factory farms.
You’d have to be a myopic as Lois Lane to not see
just how grotesquely imperfect our world is.
So, rather than spinning yarns to protect our self esteem and
our laziness masquerading as spirituality,
let’s actually take the skillful action required
to become the people that we were born to be.
There is no shortage of fools,
even “spiritual” ones.
Many fools are driven by either grandiose illusions that
#1 their “great spiritual development” renders them
immune to cause and effect while
#2 other fools are determined to do the right thing out of FEAR of
karmic retribution.
In fact they’ll go so far as to consider their fear to be a Virtue!
We on the Bodhisattva path,
practice the two Bodhichitta’s of Love and Letting-go.
On one hand, Letting-go frees us from the tyranny of impulse
and love frees us from the potential aloofness of letting-go.
However, on the other hand, Love helps us to do the right thing
and Letting-go helps us to prevent our love from becoming a straight jacket
that smothers or manipulates others.
Come let us quickly, easily and enjoyably
master Buddha’s mental yogas.
The Thursday series of weekly webinars begins in 3 weeks!
May you and yours be
happy and healthy!
