Don't Miss the Meteor Showers!

.

Faith can be dangerous, when it blinds us to the present moment.
When applying any spiritual technique it is crucial to be aware
of the results we are receiving.

If we are getting crap results then it’s either time
to reevaluate our application of the instructions
or simply find a new teacher.

But if our perception is held captive
by our faith fueled imagination
we will be blind to the present moment,
and all it’s important teachings…

just like the astronomer,
so busy, hunched over his charts
that he fails to look up
and see the splendor of a meteor shower.

Come let us learn from this foolish fellow’s mistake.
Let’s have the courage to take a long hard look
at the results that we experience from our daily spiritual practice.

Christ taught that the spiritually hungry would be blessed.

If we notice the ways that our current spiritual practice falls short
then we could cultivate spiritual dissatisfaction,
from that comes the hunger that could fuel both the enthusiasm and the courage
to take our next step on the journey to enlightenment.

The Wednesday series of webinars begins in just 3 weeks.

May you and yours be
happy and healthy!

Forgiveness and Folly

.

Tips on Meditation and the Spiritual path - idea #190
from your Buddhism expert

When approached by the haggard homeless and told of
their hunger, is it malicious or just stupid to
merely tell them to eat?

A hungry man does not need to be told to eat, he
needs to be fed. Likewise when another takes us
into their confidence and tells us of their anger
and resentment towards another, they do not need us
to foolishly mouth encouragements to forgive or self
righteously warn them of the social, physical,
medical, psychological, emotional or spiritual
dangers of anger. No, what they require is not to
be told TO forgive, but to be told HOW to forgive.

Any dolt can preach on the need to forgive, but only
a true master can take us by the hand, and lead us,
step by step, through the process of forgiveness.
Not so that we compound our rage with guilt and self
loathing, but so that we can actually feel our anger
fade away; just as a drop of dew is melted by the hot,
August sun.

The next time you feel a current anger or an old
resentment, turn to page 12-13 of “Quick Path to
Happy Peace
” bring Liberation from rage into the
Path of Concentration so you can explore even the
possibility of letting go.

Then turn to page 14-15 and bring Liberation from
rage into the Path of Insight so that you can
actually set space to exercise the wisdom of
letting go.

Now, turn to page 16-17 and bring Liberation from
rage into the Path of Compassion so that the power
of love for others who also suffer from the ravages
of resentment, can fuel the Sutric Questions coup
de gras upon the foe of rage, on pages 18-19.

My friend, I present to you Buddha’s lost spiritual
system to transcend any and every suffering. All you
have to do is learn it and practice it.

One of my intermediate students is going through a
really stressful health challenge. Let me tell you
why I'm so very proud of her.

When her fears wake her, in the middle of the night,
instead of binge eating or crying herself to sleep
she bravely gets out of bed, pads over to her
meditation cushion, opens up her copy of “Quick Path
to Happy Peace
” and practices the instructions that
she has received. She practices what she was taught,
she feels better, she goes back to bed, and she
quickly falls back asleep. These teachings work, but
only if you practice the instructions that you have
received.

This month I am offering you the opportunity to learn
instructions to the “Centering Questions”, for a
substantial discount. This discount is only available

frustration, boredom, or reluctance upon the path of
meditation, now is the chance to do something about
it, before the promotion is over, and the discount
is gone

Spiritual Hunger?

A great teacher once explained, “…blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness…”. In every sect of every religion there are two types of folks. The minority who actually reap a spiritual benefit and the majority who don’t. What is it that could separate the men from the boys? Spiritual Hunger!

The success of our spiritual journey depends upon our hunger for greater love, peace, insight and happiness being even Stronger than our appetite for pride, convenience and pre-conception.

Pray, my friend, pray that you find a teacher who can help you to further cultivate and apply that blissfully beneficial spiritual hunger.
