Gold or Poop
Interconnection; directly or indirectly everything
effects everything else. It has been said that the
simple act of a butterfly, gently articulating it’s
wings in a Beijing park, to dry the morning dew that
has gathered upon them; can set in motion a chain of
events that can effect the weather patterns over
New York’s Central Park, half a world away.
Like wise our karma is both effected by my many things
and also effects many things in turn. Our perceptions,
for instance, are effected by our karma, our bodies
components, and our external conditions.
If we regularly practice the prayers and guided
meditations of “Quick Path to Happy Peace” { that is
available for FREE at http://www.lamajigme.com } then, by the blessings of the Buddhas and
Bodhisattvas AND by the truth of Cause and Effect,
we will progress upon Buddha’s paths of devotion,
renunciation, love and wisdom.
But if we are growing in wisdom every day does that
mean that those around us will be able to perceive
or recognize our development? No, not at all!
Some people will have the karma to see us clearly,
but others will not. Some will see that what we have
to offer them is as valuable as gold coins. Others
could see what we offer them to be as odious as
doggie doo. How could this be a test of our love?
Simple, if someone values what we have then we share
it with them. We can share our teacher’s essays or
web address and that’s great, that’s loving. Why?
Because love seeks to lavish others with blessings
or at least what they experience as blessings.
On the other hand, if someone’s karma causes them to
perceive us and the fruits of our spiritual practice
as the spiritual equivalent of doggie doo, then the
compassionate thing to do would be to NOT share our
Lama’s teachings with them. For compassion seeks to
shield others from suffering or at the very least,
what they experience as suffering.
After all, my friend; everyone enjoys being tossed
a gold coin. But who wants to have doggie doo tossed
at them!
If you agree, then celebrate with a set of seated bows
to the Buddha of Compassion – as taught in my

Bowing Prayer” – http://www.lamajigme.com/Change-90.html
