Emotional Closure

.

False closure depends upon the cooperation of a second party and
most often becomes a breeding ground for:
• Venting,
• Manipulation,
• Negotiation and
• Abuse.

True closure does NOT depend on:
• the presence of a second party,
• a satisfactory resolution,
• a satisfactory reason or
• the blowing off of steam.

True closure is the ability to view a nonsensical wrong with
the peace that comes from bringing all those
circumstances, and feelings into Buddha’s paths of:
• Devotion,
• Awareness,
• Love and
• Letting-go.

Closure, like everything else, is temporary.
We remember an outrage.
We feel the pain.
We bring the pain into the path.

The pain Subsides.
Yet eventually, it returns,
like a vampire rising from his coffin.

If the meaning of life is
freedom from the Presence of pain, then NO one can help us.
BUT if life’s meaning is found in the liberation from the Tyranny of pain while simultaneously making this world a better place, then yes Buddha can help.

Buddha found no end of pain,
just an end to it’s tyranny.
That was enough for him.
