Health and Wealth

.

When a beautiful woman told me of her fear of
physical incapacitation and the poverty it could induce.
It became clear that the intensity and frequency of this dread
and it’s dark imaginings…

had made the specter of incapacitation and poverty
less of a fear and more of a soul-sucking certainty.

Should she fight the rigidity of her spontaneous fear with
the rigidity of some contrived faith?
No, that’s about as effective as fuc%ing
in the name of virginity!

Yes, strictly speaking, the most powerful antidote for
her karmic potentialities of incapacitation and poverty would
be to compassionately TAKE away everyone’s
ill-health, financial-lack and their causes.

The most effective way to generate the specific flavor of good karma that
she required would be for her to lovingly GIVE
great health, wealth and their causes to everyone.

And the greatest way to defeat her fear and it’s causes
would be to drag them into the meat-grinder that is
Buddha’s wisdom yogas that lead one to spontaneously let go.

Yep, that was the best course of action
both for her conventional needs AND her spiritual ones.
But, was she ready for that?
Not so much.

Why?
Because of the shear:
• solidity,
• momentum and
• habit
of her dark expectations.

The quest was simple…
the methodical and effective undermining of
her deep visceral dreads.

But how could that be accomplished?
After all, we’ve already explored the folly of
combating fear’s rigidity with faith’s.
How could we undermine the certainty of her dread?

Easy!
By using
• mantra-empowered,
• assumptive
• questions
to undermine their foundations.

And so I invited her to verbally recite and physically transcribe these
following exercises
FIRST thing every morning and
LAST thing every night.

#1
How could I benefit from manifesting great:
physical-safety, robust-health and profound wealth, right now?

Om Mani Padme Hum!

#2
Why could I manifest great:
physical-safety, robust-health and profound wealth, right now?

Om Mani Padme Hum!

#3
Why would I manifest great:
physical-safety, robust-health and profound wealth, right now?

Om Mani Padme Hum!

#4
When will I manifest great:
physical-safety, robust-health and profound wealth?

Om Mani Padme Hum!

#5
May I manifest great:
physical-safety, robust-health and profound wealth, right now!

Om Mani Padme Hum!

Are these exercises a substitute for Buddha’s mental yogas of
Devotion, Awareness, Love and Letting-go?
No Way!
But could they be an effective supplement as
an antidote to the sheer momentum of
the rigidity and certainty of dread?
Yeah, sure, you bet’cha!

The Friday series of weekly webinars begins January 7th.

May you and yours be
happy and healthy!

Om Mani Padme Hum,

Falling Dominos

.

Tips on Meditation and the Spiritual path - idea #195
from your Buddhism expert

As a kid I loved dominos, how about you? No, not
the pizza. They didn’t have Domino’s Pizza when I
was a little boy… yes I’m that old. And no, it
wasn’t the game I liked so much. No, what I loved
about dominos was playing with them as if they
were building blocks. But absolutely the most fun
was balancing the dominos on their sides, in a line
and then tipping the first one over into the
second, and then sit back and watch the chain
reaction. It looked cool, and sounded even better.
Could you recall the sound of a domino chain
reaction? There’s nothing like it.

Individually, a domino isn’t much. But in concert
with others dominos, arranged just so, they can
create quite a memorable effect. Likewise, the
minor adversities in our lives can be negligible by
themselves, but when combined with other petty
inconveniences in our lives, can create quite the
drama. What are some of the ways you could have
felt the domino effect in your life? I sure felt
it last Thursday.

First, I was prescribed, and started taking, a new
antihistamine. And you know how pharmaceuticals can
muck about with our feelings.

Second, I did some counseling, which is always
energetically draining.

Third, I traversed the countryside upon six buses
and one trolley, which is definitely the antidote
to vitality.

Fourth, upon arriving at my Optometrist appointment
I was given the news that the time had come for me
to receive bifocals; because we all just love
reminders of our relentless aging and the inevitable
approach of the dreaded moment when our body will
fail us permanently.

Fifth, I discovered that the classic Glaucoma
“poof” test was replaced by a new test wherein an
electronic device is actually pressed against the
surface of the eye-ball. Yes doctor, won’t you
please poke me in the eye with your electronic
version of a sharp stick; because heaven knows,
after a long hard day, I find that ever-so
soothing! But wait, there’s more…

Sixth, of course no really thorough eye exam is
complete until they put the stinging acid they call
drops into your eyes, so they can dilate the pupils
and have a look inside. Hey, don’t get me wrong. It’s
not that I don’t sincerely feel that it is the height
of glamour to stagger about like some junkie with
pupils the size of nickels.

So there I was… a chemically, physically and
emotionally drained monk, shuffling down the
street, just barely able to see the sidewalk before
me in my post optometric-stupor, fervently hoping
to make the 1 mile journey to the trolley station
in safety. And then it happened.

It was such an unusual sensation. Have you ever felt
this before? Have you ever felt like the earth was
actually opening up beneath your feet. Did you
ever get that sinking feeling in the pit of your
stomach so intensely that it actually felt like the
earth was swallowing you whole?

No, I didn’t like it very much. Do you know what I
felt like doing? I’ll tell ya. I felt like crying.
I felt like I was going to be hit by a car I
couldn’t see through my dilated eyes or that my
vision, or my body was going to fail me any moment.
I felt that I was about to go to my auspicious
rebirth without having completed the tasks that
have been set before me. I felt scared, and angry
and full of self-pity. I wanted to be held. I
wanted to be comforted. I wanted to be taken care
of. But I was all alone. I felt utterly abandoned,
hopeless and weak. And, most astonishing of all,
I felt all of that in a span of just a few seconds!
So, what did I do?

I brought the grotesque yucky-ness of the present
moment into Enlightenment’s paths of Love and
Letting-go. Was it instant bliss? Of course not.
But, by using Buddha’s mental yogas {that are a
vailable for FREE download
}

I was able to quickly find the “eye in the center
of the hurricane” as it were; and so could you.

I brought the vile glop of that moment into Buddha’s
path of compassion and cultivated the longing to
rescue all beings, in all worlds from their
unpleasant emotions; and so could you.

I dragged the illusions of the permanence and
identity my drama-queen sensations into Buddha’s
path of insight and quickly deconstructed them;
and so can you. But how?

Whether I’m performing a healing for the gravely ill,
teaching a class or performing even the most mundane
spiritual chore; I always begin with the practice
that I like to call the “Karmic Dynamo.”

I’m so excited about you getting your hands on this
lesson, that this month I’m offering it at a

The Devils gonna Get you if you don't Watch Out!

Tips on Meditation and the Spiritual path - idea #195
from your Buddhism expert

You could be as unobservant as Lois Lane and still
see that there are plenty of fear mongers in every
religion. In every religion on every continent, on
every world there are two types of teachers; Fear-
mongers and Love-mongers. A great example of a Love-
monger could be Saint Francis of Assisi

and a great example of a Fear-monger could be Tomas
de Torquemada of the Spanish Inquisition

In every religion Torquemadas can be found
undermining folks’ peace with tales of hell,
damnation, unspeakable suffering and torment;
designed to manipulate the masses. And yes, hell-
fire Torquemadas can even be found in Buddhism
telling sincere folks of their certain rebirth in
either the hot or cold hells.

Yes, fear can be quite effective at manipulating the
masses but it comes at too high a price. In the short
term fear can undermine the peace that is integral
to Buddha’s path. And in the long term fear can
breed resentment which can undermine devotion, not
only towards one’s teacher, but it can also undermine
devotion to the Buddha and his teachings. Yep,
fear sucks!

Yes, fear does suck, but what about Karma, what
about cause and effect?

Body, Speech and Mind

For every physical action, verbal utterance and
mental decision, there are consequences. Just as
good ones can lead to good:
• events,
• circumstances and
• experiences
in this life and our future ones, likewise bad karma,
generated both in this life and in previous ones,
can have a profound effect in shaping this life and
our next.

Ah ha! Does that mean we should walk Torquemada’s
path of fear and resentment? Oh please don’t.
Rather than lament and dread the effects of our
Karma couldn’t it be better, easier and much more
proactive to simply purify, heal and transform our
karma from bad into good? The great Kadampa teachers
of Tibet used to say that the only good thing about
bad Karma is that it can be purified.

Have you subscribed to Lama Jigme's FREE, fun, politically Incorrect daily e-mail?

There are so many purification methods. Some take
three decades, some take three years and others
take three months. But did you know there is a
profoundly effective Buddhist practice that only
takes 30 seconds?

The Dalai Lama is more that just a great scholar, he
is considered by many to also be a great Buddhist
Yogi. Yes, you may meditate, but so does he. What
could make his meditation sessions so much more
productive and transformative then your own?

The Dalai Lama begins every meditation session with a
special 30 second invocation. You could call it an
unfair advantage, you could call it a preparatory
practice, or you could call it a

Karmic Dynamo

Why do I want to teach you how to effectively perform
the Karmic Dynamo? The teacher of the first Dalai
Lama of Tibet enthusiastically praised this practice
and explained that by practicing it, for just 30
seconds every morning and every evening, you could:

Purify all your Bad karma
• Create Good karma
Multiply your Good karma
• experience Freedom from ever taking a “Bad” rebirth and…
enjoy Protection from natural and supernatural harm

Reserve your copy Now!

What about manifesting? The teacher of the first
Dalai Lama also explained that the easy practice of
the Karmic Dynamo could also cause you to:

be Adopted by every Buddha
• receive the manifestation of your physical wishes and…
accomplish the fulfillment of your spiritual desires

What are your spiritual desires? Most of us meditate
because we wish to be happier as well as more
peaceful and dream of attaining enlightenment. The
teacher of the first Dalai Lama also explained that
by simply practicing this Karmic Dynamo for 30
seconds before your morning meditation and once again
just before your evening meditation you could:

accomplish the perfection of concentration,
• attain greatness,
manifest the mindset that can become the source of everyone’s peace and happiness,
• become worthy to receive respect and gifts,
win the approval and delight of all your teachers and every Buddha,• realize all the steps on Buddha’s path to Enlightenment and…
quickly accomplish Chenrezig {the Buddha of Compassion}

The 14th Dalai Lama’s teacher, Dilgo Khyentse,
taught the importance of both learning as well as
practice. So, I want to give you some extra stuff, so
you can understand a bit more of what Buddha’s path
is really all about, so you can practice the Karmic
Dynamo even more effectively, so you can accomplish
enlightenment in this life. In “Karmic Dynamo”
you’ll also learn about:

the three, wish fulfilling, jewels of Buddha’s path
• what the meaning of life really is,
the three bodies of a Buddha,• what true Enlightenment is,
what the Buddha Nature is and most importantly,
• the four phases of mastery

Thank You Gifts

On the order page I’m giving you the opportunity to
make a medium or a smaller gift. I’ll give you the
thank you gift of receiving the instructions of
the Karmic Dynamo as either:
• a “live”, individual telephone teaching session or
• as an instructional CD.

Your cash donations are integral to the founding of
San Diego’s first “Buddha of Compassion Monastery and
Meditation Center
.” At some level or another, each
of us longs to be a part of something bigger then
just ourselves. Isn’t great, that by simply
furthering your spiritual training by utilizing
either my live or recorded teachings you could be
helping to provide America’s next generation of nuns
and monks with the necessary shelter, clothing,
food, instruction, practice supplies and meditation
materials they’ll need to profoundly help many others?

Now…

is your chance to master the teachings and practices
of the Karmic Dynamo. Now you can learn the convenient,
30 second exercise that will:
improve your Karma, • increase your good fortune,
• ensure an auspicious rebirth and…
accelerate your progress on Buddha’s path.

It is said that merely keeping the doctor’s
prescription on the bed stand will not cure the
patient. Likewise merely reading of the Karmic
Dynamo’s features will not benefit you… you have to
actually get your hands on the instructions and
apply them. Now could be an excellent time for you to
do just that.

Dental Rapture

.

Tips on Meditation and the Spiritual path - idea #191
from your Buddhism expert

Ah, the rapture of a dental appointment. Come, let
us count the facets of this masochistic jewel.

• There is the subtle annoyance of arriving
early for an 8:15 appointment, only to be kept
waiting until 9 O’clock;
• the fear inspired by the mere sight of the
syringes and drills as well as anticipating their use;
• the discomfort of having a mouth full of
fingers and their tools;
• the pain that occurs when the duration of
the procedure exceeds the potency of the anesthetic;
• and the utter exhaustion that can result
from simply weathering this smorgasbord of
unpleasantness!

What could we do with all these unpleasant
sensations? Bring them into Buddha’s path of Love
and Letting-go.

If we define compassion as “longing to take away
another’s sufferings” then who, I ask you, who do
we spontaneously feel compassion for? Ourselves!
When we feel annoyance, fear, discomfort, pain and
exhaustion do we crave more or less?

Less Please!

When we feel annoyance, fear, discomfort, pain, or
exhaustion, it does not take a Herculean effort to
remember that no one wants to feel this stuff. And
so we can choose to WILL that it be taken away from
everyone; in the most wonderful way. That is why
I’ve made the mental yoga of “Essential Taking” on
page 17 of the “Quick Path to Happy Peace;”
available for free download.

Yes, simply ping pong-ing between “Essential Taking
and “Essential Meditation" is a fine way to deal
with annoyance, fear, discomfort, pain or exhaustion
but could there be a way to kick it up a notch?

Yes there is, and it is as simple as bringing the
annoyance, fear, discomfort, pain, or exhaustion
into the path of the “Sutric Questions.”

Now I’ll be honest with you. This type of mental
gymnastics does require a certain degree of energy
and resourcefulness. What are some of the simple
adjustments you could make to your lifestyle that
could enhance your ambient energy and
resourcefulness?

To increase your mental and physical energy you
could use the “Karmic Dynamo” program that I’m
making available in May. And to experience much
more of the habitual resourcefulness that we all
require to be great, spiritual warriors be sure to
get your hands on the home-study course that reveals
the lost secrets of Breathing Meditation.

Om Mani Padme Hum,
Lama Jigme Gyatso
Tibetan-Buddhist: Monk, Teacher, Healer and Tantrika

P.S. There is no way to prevent each and every
little suffering; Buddha couldn’t, Christ couldn’t
and you cant. But there is something you can do. You
can set aside, just 5 minuets every morning and
every evening to effortlessly meditate in a way
that you never have before. I’ll teach you how to
easily meditate so you can savor more peace, so you
could feel more joy, so you will experience more
resourcefulness. This month is more than two thirds
over, and when it goes it will take with it April’s
special discount on the instructions for the

Texas and China

.

Tips on Meditation and the Spiritual path - idea #187
from your Buddhism expert

The “great” state of Texas and the enormous country of
China… what do they have in common? A penchant for
execution.

Of course, one of the drawbacks of execution is it’s
finality. Once the state has killed you, it can make
appealing the conviction, real difficult.

One of the things I love about Buddhism, especially
it’s Tantric teachings, is that every karmic
negativity has it’s remedy. The Mahayanan sects of
Buddhism, on the other hand, talk about the five
acts of immediate retribution. They teach that if
one was to:
• Kill his mother, his father or an Arhat
• cause a division in the Sangha {or community
of folks who strive to practice Buddha’s teachings
} or
• maliciously wound a Buddha
then there would be absolutely NO way to
purify those karmic negativities and once one died,
they would take a very inauspicious rebirth. Or in
other words…

No soup for you!

The Theravadan sects also teach that there are
certain acts of bad karma. And that if a nun or a
monk were to perform one of those bad acts they
would instantly loose their ordination, and once
they die, go straight to Buddhist hell.

I am so thankful that my Mantrayanan or Tantric
teachers taught me otherwise. The great Kadampa
lamas used to teach that the only good thing about
Karmic negativities is that they can be purified.

There are many mantras that can be effective at
purifying bad karma, but none are more effective
then the Six-syllable mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum. It
can purify the five acts of immediate retribution or
those that can lead to monastic expulsion. It can even
purify our bad karma if we find ourselves in Texas
or China!
