Liberation from Sorrow {Buddhist refuge part 2}

.

What is the liberation that Buddha offers us?
Convention tells us that he offers us liberation from
even the mere PRESENCE of suffering.
But is that correct?
Nope, not so much!

When we read Buddha’s teachings, we see him describing:
#1 the suffering’s that he endured prior to enlightenment and
#2 the sufferings he experienced after his enlightenment.

Oh oh!
Someone’s wrong, either convention, or Buddha.
Come let us reexamine our preconceptions.

The liberation that Buddha offers us is NOT
freedom from the mere presence of suffering, BUT
freedom from suffering’s actual tyranny.

But what is sufferings’ tyranny?
When our sufferings influence our:
• choices,
• words and
• actions
then truly they have become our boss, king and tyrant.

Buddha teaches us how to harness sufferings so that
instead of being our masters and oppressors who
retard our spiritual progress they
actually become our servants who multiply our
love, bliss, wisdom and peace.

For example, during the 1st webinar lesson we’ll learn how to use the
suffering of fear, sadness, anger or guilt to actually increase our
wisdom of letting-go as well as our peace!
