History is Written by the Victors

.

Any student of history, worth his daily salt, realizes that
history is written by the victors and spiritual scriptures are edited by
those in power.

wolf in sheep’s clothing

Oh how ironic it is that,
those most qualified to lead by
the virtue of their:
• love,
• joy,
• wisdom and
• peace
are the least motivated to wade into the
mud of politics…

mud

whereas those least qualified to
lead, enthusiastically embrace the dark power of:
• rage,
• fear, and
• greed
to plunge into the practice of mud-wrestling that is
professional politics.

mud wrestling

Humans are political animals, consequently
wherever humans are present so are politics.
In every race, country, and religion the
messy “art” politics is practiced.

And those intoxicated with the power-lust of politics won’t
think twice about secularly rewriting history or
religiously editing the empowering teachings right out of the scriptures.

drunk with power

In the Christian Bible it is written
“…the Light shone in the darkness,
but the darkness did not comprehend it.”

and,
“…what fellowship can light have with darkness?”

The latter is not an endorsement of pseudo-spiritual elitism but
an exploration that fear and peace are mutually exclusive and
likewise, hate and love blend about as easily as
oil and water.

Fear is the path to the Dark Side

How then are we to separate the
truth from the bullsh*t?

Neither:
• logic,
• intuition,
• fame,
• reputation,
• credentials, or
• letters of recommendation
are of ANY use whatsoever.

useless

What are we to use?
How about Buddha’s pragmatic path of:
#1 Receive a teaching,
#2 Enthusiastically apply it,
#3 notice your results.

This works with everything!
It works for:
• fitness,
• diet,
• sex,
• relationships, and even the
• spiritual path.

If any teaching, theory or practice can NOT stand up to
the test of application,
then it is Crap!
